I’m finally settled into my temporary residence here. I don’t think any one reads this who I have not already talked to in person or through facebook or e-mail, but just it case…I took the job in Mission, TX. I moved down August 15 just a few days after returning from my summer in China. School starts on Monday. I’m teaching 5 grade English, 6 grade English, 7&8 English, 9&10 English, 11&12 English, and apparently I may also be coaching elementary soccer. We shall see…I’m also playing the piano for the church choir here. I need to get back into practicing.
For now I’m staying with the family from the church I stayed with when I visited before. The wife teaches some highschool math classes. They have three kids one in 9th, one in 6th, and one is 2. I’m waiting for an apartment to open up. There is a really nice gated community that offers low-income discounts. I’m holding out for that one. I don’t think I”ll find something better. I just have to keep checking back to see if they have any available yet.
